"This masterpiece was painted in the year 1842 by Thomas Cole.  

It's a reflective work of art, showing an Old Man looking upward, while his guardian angel is greeting an angel in heaven; they are surrounded by glowing and billowing clouds.

Nearing the end of his life, the Old Man in the image seems ready to depart this earth so that he can go to his eternal rest in heaven.  May we all be as blessed as him at the end of our lives."
