Collection: Mary, Queen of Heaven, 1485 COLLECTION

This stunning Masterpiece titled Mary, Queen of Heaven, was painted in the year 1485 by "Master of the Saint Lucy Legend."  The original is presently on view at the National Gallery of Art, in Washington, D.C.

This panel painting depicts the Virgin's assumption, the Immaculate Conception, and the crescent moon and the radiance behind her identity Mary as the Woman of the Apocalypse, mentioned in Revelation 12:1 - and the Coronation of the Virgin.

Renaissance musical instruments are shown with great detail, as are the music-making angels.  A full orchestra plays before the Trinity at the top.  There are loud instruments: trumpets and shawms, and soft instruments: vielle, lute, and harp.  Two singing angels hold books with legible lyrics and notes.  This music is the source of the painting's title, "Ave Regina Caelorum", by Walter Frye (d. 1474 / 1475).

I was so inspired by the majestic beauty and the bright colors with all the details, that I created this Collection to enable others to bring this beauty into their lives and homes.  Because I believe that since our clothing, accessories and home decor is a statement of who we are, this Collection will bring inspiration and will uplift the hearts and minds of every beholder.
